 The Abuja base Artist whose real names are EMEH FRIDAY popularly known as G kase aka Ololo master Dragging shoprite to federal high court in abuja for violation of his copyrighted musical recording jingle.

 He stated that he recorded a promotional marketing jingle titled 'shoprite' in order to market it to them and presented a private sample to them at apo branch in abuja and it was confirmed by the management of shoprite apo branch that it will fit in their business type, and they demanded for the sample to be sent to headquarter for approval and get back to the artist for negotiation, after a long waiting no respond from them. The next thing they started using the jingle unauthorized without permission, without been paid for it.

 He stated that the matter was taken to Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC) because the jingle is registered with them so that they could help him fight for the case as a goverment agency regulating creativity in Nigeria, but his greattest surprised was NCC could not do anything about the matter, after investigation by NCC and shoprite was found guilty with clear evidences given to NCC to aid their investigation still NCC do nothing about it matter. He stated that there is injustice in Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC).

 He urged his fellow artistes across the country both local and international artistses in entertainment industry and movie industry to stand up and fight for their intellectual right and protest against Nigeria Copyright Commission NCC for not fighting for piracy in the country. He stated that, NCC needs to be monitor by Mr President Mohammedu Buhari. He stated that artistes in the country are suffering in the hands of piraters and infringers, given that, 'MONKEY DEY WORK and BAMBO DEY CHOP' meaning the artistes are not eating the fruit of their labour, that what they laboured for, other people eat their sweet. 

Stated that entertainment business is a very lucrative business if Nigeria Government can invest seriously in creativity and regulate it very well, it will contribute to our nation Economy. He stated that, if NCC is not ready to work they should changed with the new management who are ready to work, than decieving artistes, collecting registration fees and govt. Allocation for doing nothing.
